Turns out we have a TON of work to do in the garden. Unlike Colorado, the garden is not dormant during the winter, and pruning is a necessity. Here is just some of what we've been working on...This is a shot of the heart shaped garden island in the back...
Question: To build a spiral mound herb garden in it, or not. The other option is to leave the flowers (yet to bloom in this pic) and plants or take them out for the herbs. We're 50/50 Julia/Tom so we need your vote.

I think I would leave the current plants for a season to see what blooms then if it isn't anything special herb away.
